After 3 long years

Hohoho.. Suddenly feel like leaving a post.. Forgot the password and had to reset it. haha.

Year 2010 is coming to an end. After reading through my past entries. I thght that i changed alot.

I would say 2010 is a fabulous year for me and i really hope next year will be so.

I have a really good boyfriend (whom dores and loves me) and best of all, we are not having any major arguments that i can recall.

Moving on pretty well in my career.. But still hopefully to be able to have a less stressful job someday. Maybe changing job next year..

I hope I can start saving up and spend less on unnessary things!

Looking forward to my China trip in 2 weeks time.

Attended my colleague wedding yesterday night... Got to meet ex colleagues again~ Happy...

Malacca

Went to Malacca for a short getaway... Daniel drove us there.. which is pretty cool..

We set off at 6am in case of traffic jam at the checkpoint.

Nonetheless we still got struck for 4 hours!!

Hongkong 2008

Super big thanks to Anna for bringing me around these 4 days. Helping me to translate, shopping, eating and getting together with her HK frens and specially came to airport to pick me up…

We had dim sum right after I put down luggage.
Cheap and about the standard of crystal jade…

Went to Mongkok shopping center. Cheapest mall I have come across in my 4 days there.

Dessert. The durian pancake is pretty nice but Anna dun like the smell of it. She ordered nice dessert too…

We went back to Crystal house to pack her things over to my hotel. Took HK mini bus…. hehe.

Feel great being able to experience their local lifestyle.

Avenue of Stars… The view is pretty good. too bad that night is quite foggy, did not have a very clear view.

Fruitful first day and we were both damn tired…

Day 2

On the way to MTR, Anna got me to try put some HK snack. and the milk tea is so nice! love it.
Tea kept me awake for the day.
Weather is very very hot.

Went to Wang Da Xian to see see look look. Din know that I have to buy my own incense for praying… So we just took pictures.

Proceed to City University(The university that Shawn and Anna went) to eat dim sum for lunch.

The dim sum in their school is good!! and cheap, 10% discount for students.
Too bad I had too full a breakfast, we ordered only a few items.

Managed to get a peek of their hostel as well...
Went Kowloon Tung to shop at the H&M over there. Concept is like Singapore topshop.. but cheaper…

Went back to Mongkok to meet up with Anna HK friends-Crystal and Athena.
They make me feel that HK people are so nice and friendly!

Had Satay King for dinner.. Nice!

3rd Day

Went to Jordan for wanton mee. Nice and cheap! Very local place. I like.

Another dessert shop called "Xu liu Shan". Recommended by Shawn.

Went to Causeway bay & Central (if I never rem wrongly).

Tried Marion Crepe.

Anna took me to the largest H&M in HK. Bought more clothes. I think I spend about SGD200 in H&M.

She shown me to departmental shopping centres. Nothing much to shop…
Explored Sogos, Times Square…

Head back to Jordan for dinner at Da pian dang. (Anna is so nice to bring me to and fro).
Experienced their peak hour crowd in the MTR. It is really very crowded ok. Quite scary to see such a big pool of people waiting at the doors.
In SG, we only see such scene when there is a train fault during peak hours.

Their fried oyster with flour? Nice too. and hot pot(which we called claypot rice in SG).

We walked ard Temple Street and got some souvenirs and cheap goodies. Never tried their palm reading cos I think they should be anyhow read 1 bah.

Then we headed back to Mongkok "Lucky Dessert" to get durian dessert.

It is the best dessert I had in HK. I love it.

4th Day

Their K lunch has food. They have four mic with no wires attached.

Two TV front and back.
Internet for u to surf while waiting for ur songs.

PSP to play if u are singing - though not available during K lunch.
And I costed only SGD9 per pax!

Swear I will go back if I do visit HK again.

Time to go back to SG.

Sat we spent abr 6 hours at the bridal shop called Double Up, helping wj choose her gown.

It was fun but tiring!

This is nice but end up we never pick it thats why can be posted.

At times we cant find any that we like or we got spoil for choices!

Nonetheless it is an experience as i always want to help my jie mei choose the perfect gown! haha.

My colleague bought me some gift as farewell. Very touched~ and i like it alot...

My DIY Facial Steps.

Sharing my DIY facial with the gals...

After cleansing, I use a DIY scrub to remove all dead skin so my skin is clean to absorb the masks i am going to put.
Yes! Aspirin can not only be used for relieve of heachache, it can also be used as a face scrub. If u do not have sensitive skin, Try it. I swear u have baby smooth skin as it contains AHA to remove dead skin on surface of skin!

Then i proceed to use a steamer(bought from Watsons) to steam my face and open up all pores!

Then i put ampoule (bought from online spree, i think singapore sells it too but i dun know where)on my whole face, eyes and neck. It is suppose to help u absorb better what u are going to put on your face.

Finally i can start putting masks on my face. Today i wanted to deep cleanse my face so i used Queen Helene Masque, Mint Julep Masque(Imported from US, cannot be found in SG).

I used eyemask(Imported from Taiwan) i received yesterday.

And finally a cooling mask for my neck (Can be found at John Little).

All done in an hour and at a fraction of the cost i spend at Beauty Salon.
I still can blog while waiting for masks to dry lo! Rather than waiting at salon(waste of time).
Normally i dun bother to do so much if i dun have the time.. Haha. Scrub then mask also can have result.

If u are wondering, I read a lot to know so much.. Maybe i can open a shop and help people do facial hor since i like it so much. Haha!

Yest was so fun la…

Plan was to go KTV and then walk around.

Suddenly Qiting suggests that we go do eyelash extension together. And 3 of us are so spontaneous.
We do it there and then at a shop she recommended.
Helped them took photos of their process and guess what? They never help me take lo. Dun know what my “hao peng you” are doing lo. Haha..
I think Liping’s eyes looks damn chio after the extension. Bet a lot of office guys will looked at her tml! Haha.

Went shopping after that, already got compliments about where we bought our fake lashes. So we actually recommend to people where we do it.
Free advertising for the shop.

Dinner
I have to eat vegetarian again yest! I wonder why it kept falling on weekends!
I suggested dinner at places with pasta so I can eat mushroom pasta.
I went to ladies while they order. When I am back, they already decided for me what I can eat and straight away take order. Still add a French fries as side dish for me lo. Damn touched la.

Looking forward to the teppanyaki buffet and the stayover at my house!

And I am still very happy with my choice. Lucky I still can turn back decision.
No regrets! Hehe..

Second Annoucement...

I have been through a roller coaster ride this whole week! I am so stressful and confused! Til i got no appetite to eat ok?!
Glad that i settled it all before weekend starts.

I am not joining the smaller company already.
Thanksful that the CFO of this small company is very good to me. She has a super big heart for she told me i do not need to compensate them 1 month of salary.

Anyway I will be joining Capital Land!
The company is very sincere and they actually counter offer me twice after i rejected them again and again.
I must chiong for my career liao! But i am still a stupid xiao nu ren ok. This fact will never be changed!

And superly BIG thanks to Mr Bf and my sis for i keep pestering them which i should choose. Disturbing her sleep and disturbing his busy worklife. And both of them never even scold me once for being so fan!!

I really feel that i am so so so lucky...
Really believe that praying Guan Yin Temple always fulfil my wishes.

Announcement

12/4 Saturday was my 4 years anniversary with G.K. Goh.
However I tendered my resignation today.

Thanks so much to my frens and family for all the advices I received when I do not know which to pick.

After thorough thinking, I still think that money cant buy my happiness.
I prefer to have a “life” and not stress up myself even though the remuneration is extremely attractive.
Hence I choose the smaller company.
Anyway Mr Bf should be the one working that hard and feed me right? I must be a stupid xiao nu ren as promised. Lolx.

Glad that new company is still at Raffles Place mean I can get to meet my ex colleagues and friends for lunch! Haha.
Oh and I gonna start work at 9am. At last I will not be late for work anymore!

Finally muster up euff courage to do brazilian waxing!
Cant stand it when people says I cant take it as they feel that I got low threshold for pain.
But it is an experience and I pretty like the after effect!

Anyway, Pain Factor: I will give it a 6 over 10.

More on BKK Trip

My room mate during the trip in Bangkok.

She is a Malaysian who is a Japanese Speaking Dealer. We clicked pretty well and share a lot of personal talks. We also have similar taste so we bought a lot of similar things. Coincidencely, we even bgt 1 same T shirt for our Bfs. Haha!

I almost melted when she burst out in Japanese in the middle a conversation. Her voice sounded so different and it seems strange to hear her say that when u are used to talking in mandarin with her all these while. I think I might fall for her at that moment if I am a guy…

Dun worry I am straight! I still love Mr Bf but maybe slightly lesser after the trip. Lolx.

The ladies group photos who left for the earlier flight back. The person who smiled the most "chai lan" is my CEO.

Company sponsored dinner on Saturday night at Grand Hyatt Hotel Buffet. Costed 20000+ THB. and a free Thai massage. which i forgot to take photos! Guess must be the food to be blamed.

Apparently, i still hate taking plane the most. Damn boring! But i discovered my favourite seat liao. Keke. In future i gonna take that seat for my flights!

Mushroom Soup.

Him: Wagyu BeefCarpaccio of Wagyu beef tenderloin with mascarpone parfait scented with white truffle oil and shaved Parmigiano Reggiano,Arugula salad tossed with horseradish vinaigrette

Him: Duck ConfitDuck leg confit meat wrapped in pork crèpinette with duck crackling on pommes mousseline, slow cooked Savoy cabbage and Pommery mustard jus

This is NICE!! Pretty amazed that duck leg can taste nice.

Me: Cod Fillet of cod topped with prawn and cognac butter on seafood paella, caramelized Meyer lemon confit and an emulsion oftomato broth with sweet basil
So-so only..

We got the biggest room on the floor. haha~ I think i will go back this hotel again. We got 2 queen beds for 2 pax. So next time 4 friends can share a twin room!

I think it is a very nice place to chill out. too bad we had to leave at 930pm as the places are fully booked! I am pretty sure i will go back there again.

We went to Wang Ting Chinese restaurant at Orchard International Building for dinner.

8 courses meal. But we got free additional one more course.
Trust me. it is one of the best chinese meal i ever had. $38+ per pax.

I have been very very forgetful and blur as i get older and i hope i recover from it soon...

I forgot when i put my things, i forgot things that people told me with not the slightest recall when they repeat again, i lost my medicine/i forgot when i placed my medicine. It is gettin so scary..

Lucky my colleague asked me to check the expiry date of my passport. Realised that it is one month to expiry and i cant use it anymore. Made a trip down to ICA.

Thank God i did not go Malaysia with dan the other time or it would be a waste trip.

But i cant be that lucky forever!

Today sen called me to say his mom bgt 1 too! He is thinking of getting it after i told him how comfy it is for neckache sufferer like us. :( I think i am getting it too cos the sale is still going on!

Happy New Year~~

Yest we gathered at Zhiwei house for some cooking session. Thanks Zhiwei and family for providing his kitchen to us. Think we made quite a mess of it but it was fun.

Lets review my 2007 resolutions:

I wanna go Hong Kong and possibly Thailand again. Failed
I wan to be prettier! Failed.
Shed the excess fats on my waist! Still failed!
Master my blading! Passed.
Must bless with good health. Passed.
Good boss and not too stress working environment. Failed!
Grow back long hair~ one year liao and hair is still so short! Half passed
Hopefully bonus is big big this year~ FAILED!
Be happier than last year.. Passed.
I wanna find Mr Right. The next one will be better.. Half Passed.
And i am really changing my temper.. Considered Passed. Improved a lot.
Treat my family better.. Passed!
Possible, i wanna bring my mum for an o/s trip lo.. Failed cos no fat bonus.
And of cos maintain the friendship i have with all my frens. hard to find such nice sisters and buddies lo.. PASSED!

Things that failed can still be changed... Considered the more important things, i have passed.. So not too bad... haha..

Always kills pimple the next day i woke up! Super effective! My first tube is a gift from someone to cure the acnes on my back but i used it on my face. Good Good! Getting my 3rd tube soon. haha!

Auntie Wendy cooking session 1

Preparation of food. Took a lot of time. My mum so happily ask me to do all the cutting while she sits there and chit chat on the phone.

Mum words of advice for a newbie: 你顺便煮啦, 我迟到了. Bye!!

Tip: read instruction on the recipe carefully! 2 teaspoon of lemon. Guess what? I put 2 whole lemon juice lo. muhaha.. I pour the whole gravy away and redo it.

Da ta~~~ All are prepared by me.. haha! It is really not worth it to spend so many hours to prepare so little food. But as promised.

I did Japanese fried tofu (it really tasted the same except that the tofu i used is harder than those at restaurant. Next time round i gonna try softer tofu..)

Tumeric Prawns and Scallops (The gravy is nice! Pretty satisfied with the results.)

"Jin Zhen Gu" plus normal mushroom.. (I always liked mushroom alot!)

Old cucumber soup (tasted a bit bland cos i put rather little pork inside). next time will be better.

PS: From now onwards, i dun just cook ba ting fried rice ok!! haha..

Oh my god, it is getting so stressful and absolutely demoralising living in Singapore. at least it is so for me..

I remember in polytechnic, qixian was asking about migrating.. Back then i told her i love Singapore a lot and i will stay here for long but given the standard of living now in Singapore, I swear if i even get the chance to work overseas, i will leave and hopefully i never come back.

In Singapore, the rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer..

Thinking of being able to graduate NEXT YEAR i am god damny HAPPY lo..

Its really not easy working full time and studying part time.

And during this period of studying, i am damn touched by what mummy did. She went out to buy lunch for me everyday even though she is not eating..
Not the Best in the world but definitely the best for me. And it is enough... I love my mummy!!
And of cos my sister.. And my Bf for the supplies of "liang cha" to neutralise the chocolates and cookies he made! Thanks~

Anyway, i gonna cut down on eating now.. Mr Bf keep asking me to exercise to "cut fat". So bad~

On a separate note...

I went to watch SAW 4 with zw before exam and i think it is really a nice show lo. the plot is damn good~~ Must definitely watch saw 2&3 to understand the story line for SAW4.

I think this is the most quiet movie i ever watch, really is fully concentrate in listening and thinking how it is linked to SAW 2 & 3.

Talking about the gross scene , i have relative high tolerance level for gross show. So i feel ok.. especially the autopsy keeps me worrying if real autopsy is like that? kekeke...

I think i gonna borrow SAW 1 from Daniel~~

More on my co. BKK trip.

i am getting so excited over it! Even though it is a 2D1N trip but when u dun have to pay for it u definitely feel happy.. And the lodging is not lousy lo.. heard its a 5 stars hotel or we will be staying in service apartment.

Itinery sounds fun also! We gonna go for some drinking and eating session. We have half Thai Account Executive (someone who is self employed and earn commission based on cust trade volume) who gonna bring us around!

One funny policy in our co. Staffs of each department cant take the same flight.
Reason being: If that plane clash at least we still have the rest of them surviving(those who took another plane) and company can still continue business.. Wahaha, a good precaution but sounds funny.

The only bad thing is the trip falls on Mr bf birthday but he is very understanding and is ok that i go for the trip. Haha..

Today i went to Guan Yin temple to pray for my coming exam.. And i am VERY happy that i bought what i am finding!

With my boss on maternity leave and a colleague on study leave, i managed to complete month end in just two days on my own!

Sorry if i reply sms slow/never answer calls during these few days cos i am really too busy~

Japanese food-ed with Qiting at Bugis "Ma-Maison". She like the ambience a lot. Like a little cosy cottage house.

Serving western like style japanese food.

We had

Chef Pizza. And it is nice lo.

Curry pork cutlet. This is nice too.

Strangely, i been there once with Sen and i remember it is not that nice. But this time round it tasted fantastic.Will definitely visit there again.

Went to yishun Mac to meet up with other gals. 12 plus came a group of Ah-Bengs who dressed like they are from the 80s. They are probably 16-18 years old. Apparently one of them is drunk and very angry that he kanna 1 year probation! Throwing chairs at pple, scolding pple, kicking mac door and shouting. A lot of pple left once his group came. We are sitting beside them and i am nearest but back facing him. I wanted to leave in case i got hit by him. But the gals said it is so loser of us to leave immediately?! Kaoz.. My life is in danger ok? Who cares about being cool anot.

Tried the orange 1 before its good. Recommended by Da-S in her book.
But this time i bgt the clay 1 for oily skin. Trial pack now @ $2.95 only. Cheap cheap.

Anyway there is mask for underarms now. so funny isnt. Whitening for the underarms?

I saw some gals who has serious pigmentation underarms due to prolonged shaving.
I used to use NIVEA whitening deodorant. Its whitening effect(as in u will not have black /ugly armpits ok) is good but will stain clothes so becareful when using.

Recently i am in love with satin material. I bought a champagne colour satin top at City Plaza (which every1 says its cheap there). Costed me $27 and no trying!

Lucky it still doesn't look that bad..

Then i was walking ard during lunch today when i saw the same top!! Selling only at $21 at Coax. Bleah~

I am instantly attracted to the black and white one. hee. So i tried it on..

A sales gal once told me if u dun know which to choose take a picture using hp and see which is nicer...

HAIR TIPS!!

If u are a regular swimmer... Try this shampoo for de-chlorine after swim. and conditioner before and after swim. Has UV defense :) Costed me $13 for both. And my hair is really not dry at all after the swim!

Of cos xiaobai put tonnes of sunblock on my face and body to maintain fair like a pig! haha.

Went for Suki Sushi at AMK for dinner after swim. I thought i was going to die of hunger ok? No lunch and vigorous swimming.. Anyway, the chicken katsu curry don is godlike~ At least for me. haha. Do try it if you happen to eat there :)

The other day i took a cab to Thai Embassy for work related issue..

And i got compliment from the taxi uncle that i got good skin and asking me how do i maintain. HAHA. Damn happy lo. First time a male stranger commented on my complexion! So flattered la~ LALALALA..
Hmm, i always find it very hard to tell pple how bcos i tried and used lots of products on my face to achieve a better complexion than before. Will blog again after i took photos of what i used and find it useful. So pls be patient as i am a busy gal :(

And i bought this colour! I hope i made the right choice? And it costed only $17 after 20% discount bcos its my birthday month :)
